Reboot

Hey everyone,

When I started this blog nearly two years ago, I intended to update it anywhere from five to ten times a month. At the time I was so into movies that I thought I could keep that up and make this into a somewhat notable movie blog. I know that sounds ridiculous but isn't that what all bloggers set out to do?

The problem was that right around that time I discovered the greatest/worst thing ever, the DVR. With my newly acquired DVR, I realized how great television had become and started to watch more TV then even I thought possible. Instead of wanting to see a highly anticipated blockbuster starring Tom Cruise and Catherine Zeta-Jones, I was dying to see the new episode of Lost or Veronica Mars.

Unfortunately for us all, 2005 was a horrible year for movies. There were a lot of good ones but I kept going to see movies and leaving the theater being disappointed. There were very few movies released that year that I think we will still be talking about in 20 years.

During the spring/summer of 2005, I fell in love with my hometown Houston Astros and found myself watching their games on TV instead of going to see my usual one to four movies a weekend. This led me, for the first time in my life, to be very interested in sports. So in the last year and a half, my intense interests have changed from one to three.

While I was sitting and watching TV tonight I realized that I liked to share my thoughts with people but I didn't have to restrict myself to long, often boring posts about movies that many didn't care about. So, as of now, I changed the name of my blog from Rob's Movie Thoughts to Mr. X-Shun's Cool Glass of Orange Jews but the site will retain the same web address. I can't really think of a good title but if anyone has any ideas just put it in the comments section.

My intention for this new blog is not to update it daily but update it more often. The worst being once a month and the best being five times a week. I will talk about whatever is on my mind from reaction to the night's TV to some big shake up in the National League.

Enjoy,

Rob
